Taiwan was incredible! The food was delicious, and we enjoyed lots of bubble tea. We visited several of the many night markets and got around the city for free using Taipei's YouBike public bike-sharing system. On the day we planned to travel to Taroko Gorge, a severe earthquake hit, causing massive rockfalls. We were lucky — we had overslept, so the trip didn’t happen. We brought back a few cans of high-quality tea leaves as souvenirs.

We spent a few days in Hong Kong, and walked around the city’s towering buildings and busy streets! We visited Victoria peak, overlooking the skyscrapers, and spent a day at Disneyland. The food was incredible, from roasted ducks to pastries to small shop snacks. It was pretty foggy during our visit, but the fog added a mysterious magical vibe to the city.

We visited Osaka and Tokyo in the spring! 🌸 The sakura were in full bloom, and we explored Osaka Castle, Meguro River, Mount Fuji, and more. We also had a great time at Universal Studios Japan, especially at Super Nintendo World.

We visited South Korea in winter, facing single-digit temperatures. ❄️ We took a ferry to Nami Island, did some “skiing” in the Gangwon Province mountains, and enjoyed some amazing Korean barbecue—the best we'd tasted up to that point.

It was our first time in Japan together. It was a hot summer. We explored temples and shrines and had fun at Disney Sea!
